An important part of being an entrepreneur is learning from your peers. “Unstoppable Entrepreneur” profiles entrepreneurs who have taken the leap to follow their passion and create their own work & lifestyle. They share their expertise: tips for success, tools they use and valuable insights they have learned along the way.

This week I had the pleasure of speaking to entrepreneur, Luz Garcia-Pennock of LovelyGalPosh/Happily Working and she shared her journey from corporate HR employee to full-time entrepreneur.

Watch/Listen to the video below and share your feedback in the comments!

Key Takeaways

  • You don’t have to leave your job to start learning
  • Grab your kudos from the corporate world while they are still fresh (like LinkedIn references)
  • Adapting to your client’s needs
  • Start building relationships and learn how to ask for work
  • Reaching out for help when you need to learn new skills eg. tools and technology

Awesome interview, ladies. I am in the process of working on a year exit strategy plan and this kind of interview is just the kind of thing people like me need to keep going, keeping the goal in mind. My biggest challenge is to change the mind set I have about needing a steady income. By slowly changing the goal posts of my earning capacity I have started to change that. Thank you again.
