An important part of being an entrepreneur is learning from your peers. “Unstoppable Entrepreneur” profiles entrepreneurs just like yourselves who have taken the leap to follow their passion and create their own work & lifestyle. They share their expertise: tips for success, tools they use and valuable things they have learned along the way.

This week I had the pleasure of speaking to Shelia Butler of Successful Women Talk. Shelia has successfully grown (and sold) a business from zero to 7 million dollars, has launched a new children’s line called MeGiant and in her free time runs Successful Women Talk. In this interview, Shelia shares the importance of having systems in your business even if you are just one person and the traits of successful women entrepreneurs.

Key Takeaways

  • The importance of having mentors early on
  • While you do need the big picture for your business you also need to be agile, change course & correct. If it’s not working, fix it. Fix it quickly.
  • Create processes even if you are just one person in your business whether they are checklists, templates for your posts or short videos to explain things to your clients.

Sandy, thank you SO much for having me on your show. It was such a pleasure and I love your mission. Thank you again and keep up the good work. Girl Power! 🙂

Great interview. I think for me the biggest take away is just give it a try. Try and change course as needed. I do get stuck in the has to be perfect and I’m slowly starting to give up some of my perfectionist ways and just let it be.

I always love the screenflow idea for training a VA. I have recently started doing that for my clients and it’s been received with overwhelming success.

    Thanks for sharing!

Agree! I think too often we get caught up in the ‘what ifs’ and analysis paralysis takes over. And then nothing happens! Start. Try!

      Thanks for the comment!

Hi Tenille, thanks for watching and commenting. The most exciting thing is you realize your a perfectionist and are working on Just Doing It. Great Job. Shelia
