website conversions

{E57} Coco Chanel, Being Bossy And Website Conversions With Suzi Istvan

Brand strategist, web developer and designer Suzi Istvan joins me today to talk all about websites. We talk about the small tweaks you can make to get more traffic and convert more of the right people.

We also talked about why taking someone else’s website design is doing you a disservice..be an amazing version of you instead and it’s most likely a sign that you need to do deeper branding work, otherwise you’ll just end up with pretty website but no clarity on what you do.

Follow the Coco Chanel Rule:

Before you leave the house stop and take one thing off. Do the same with your website. And opt-ins? No body wants inbox goodies or tips & tricks, be specific, why they should be on your email list.

One action: have an ideal client or a client you’ve worked with in the past, have them look at your site and have them tell you what they think..where did your eye go first, did you understand what this call to action meant?

Key Takeaways:

  • Have really clear calls to action. Be bossy tell people where to go and lead them through your site.
  • Be specific, helpful and clear, what happens when they click on something. Get rid of overly clever buttons that say  (eg. goddess program or ebook) and instead explore what the results are  eg. Need 5 Ideas for Easy Meals You can cook tonight? click here. Qualifies people.
  • Look at every area and see if it makes sense why people should click there.
  • Sites are overly designed, cluttered. There really is no fold anymore. it’s okay to let your site to breathe. Decide what is super important and focus your website real estate on those areas….limit yourself to 2-3 fonts on a page. Focus on brand message and who you are talking to instead and how they want that information presented to them.

business mastermind

{E56} Uplevel your business with a mastermind

This week’s episode I talk all about masterminds: what they are, why you should join them and how they can help you move your business forward.

I first heard about masterminds back in 2011 when I first read Napolean Hill’s book, “How To Think And Grow Rich“. I didn’t know exactly what they were but I had a feeling that they were important and something I needed in my business.

Key Takeaways:

  • How masterminds can help you get unstuck in your business and move forward.
  • The importance of surrounding yourself with entrepreneurs who have been there/done that.
  • Why you should create a mastermind group if you can’t find one online.

Fast Fix Fridays

{E55} Fast Fix Fridays #15 Should I delete my Facebook page?

This week’s question-“I’m not seeing very much engagement on my Facebook page, should I just delete it and use my personal profile?” No! While you can interact and make a lot of connections and build relationships with your personal profile, if someone wants to learn more about you they can find you through your business page.

Not to mention, you need a Business Page to run ads and while this may be something you aren’t doing now at some point you might if you are promoting a new product/service or a webinar or just want to build awareness about your brand.
